1. Publisher identification

The Alterenn service ("the Service"), accessible notably from alterenn.com and its sub-domains, is published by:

By using the Service, you ("the User") contract directly with the Publisher.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

3. Service description

Alterenn is an interactive writing and narrative roleplay platform assisted by artificial intelligence. Users create fictional characters ("Entities"), worlds ("Lores") and write collaborative stories with the help of an AI.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate, may contain offensive or sensitive elements, and is in no case professional advice (medical, legal, financial, psychological or otherwise). You are solely responsible for your prompts, the generated content and the use you make of it, including verifying its accuracy before any non-fiction use.

4. Fictional framework — fictional adult characters only

All characters, Entities, Incarnations and stories hosted on Alterenn are works of fiction. All characters depicted, whether human, non-human or fantastical, are deemed to be fictional adults (18 years old or older). Creating, distributing or soliciting content depicting minors in a sexual, romantic or suggestive context is strictly prohibited and results in immediate account removal as well as reporting to the competent authorities where required by law.

Any resemblance to real persons is coincidental. You agree not to create Entities depicting identifiable real persons without their explicit consent (strict prohibition of deepfakes, impersonation, defamatory content).

5. Capacity and registration

Registration is open to persons aged 15 or over; it is strictly prohibited for anyone under 15. You must also have the legal capacity to contract (or act with the authorization of your legal representative where local law requires it).

Content rated Mature 18+ is strictly reserved for adult users (18 or older) who have actively verified their age; it is disabled by default and remains inaccessible to underage accounts (15-17). You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and for the security of your account. See our Age Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for:

• illegal or fraudulent activities;
• harassment, threats or incitement to hatred;
• any depiction of minors, even fictional, in a sexual, romantic, suggestive or abusive context;
• explicit non-consensual content, or the sexualization of real persons without their consent;
• deepfakes or impersonation of real persons;
• circumventing security, classification or moderation systems;
• generating hateful, terrorist, extreme-violence content or instructions facilitating illegal acts;
• technical attacks or mass data scraping;
• infringement of copyright or intellectual property.

You are responsible for your prompts, the content you generate and the use you make of it. Any rights holder may report infringing content to alterenn.contact@gmail.com for takedown.

7. Intellectual property

You retain rights to your content as permitted by law. You grant the Publisher a non-exclusive, limited license necessary to host, process, display and operate the Service. In case of a third-party rights claim, we apply a notice-and-takedown procedure and may sanction accounts for repeated infringement.

8. Moderation

We may at any time remove content, refuse or filter a generated output, restrict an account or suspend a user in case of violation or justified report. Content rated "Mature 18" is subject to enhanced automated and human moderation and may be removed at any time.

9. Payment and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle is responsible for transactions, billing, taxes and refunds, and handles order-related customer service. Full terms are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

The Publisher operates under the French VAT exemption regime for small businesses (Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code). As a result, no French VAT is charged by the Publisher. When Paddle acts as Merchant of Record, applicable local taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.) are collected and remitted directly by Paddle in the relevant jurisdictions.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period and can be cancelled anytime from your account. Access remains active until the end of the current period.

10. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access in case of violation of these Terms, fraud, risk to the Service, or repeated infringement of intellectual property or the editorial charter.

11. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee absence of errors nor the relevance of AI-generated answers. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited and excludes indirect damages (loss of data, loss of profits, loss of opportunity).

12. Indemnification

You are responsible for damages caused by your use of the Service and will indemnify us for any claim arising from your content, illegal use or breach of these Terms.

13. Changes

We may amend these Terms with reasonable prior notice.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
