Alterenn is a collaborative fiction platform. People come here to create characters (Entities), build worlds (Lores) and write interactive stories with the help of an AI. This charter defines the editorial frame: what we encourage, what we refuse, and how we write together.
Our values
Narrative freedom
Dramatic tension, conflict, adult themes, dark territory: fiction has the right to be intense. Every character depicted is a fictional adult and every story is a work of fiction. No preachy morals, no forced slow burn — but a clear author's responsibility.
Emotion and writing
People come here to write and to feel: tension, doubt, attachment, vertigo. A good scene moves something. The role of a fiction platform is to allow that intensity, not to flatten it.
Respect for people
Characters are fictional. The humans behind the screen come first. We don't tolerate harassment, threats, identity extraction, doxxing or hijacking against a real person.
Protected creators
The Entity sheets, the writing, the Lores you build belong to you. We defend everyone's creativity — no plagiarism, no disguised appropriation.
What has no place here
These limits are non-negotiable. No "it's just fiction" works around them.
- Minor characters forbidden in any sexual or romantic context. Every character depicted on Alterenn is a fictional adult. No exception, no workaround, no narrative ambiguity can justify otherwise.
- Non-consenting real people. No intimate deepfakes, no impersonation, no sexual or defamatory fiction involving real, non-consenting people (public figures included).
- Mature 18 content reserved for verified adults. Entities flagged Mature are strictly reserved for users of legal age who completed age verification. Display is off by default. No exception.
- Real illegal content. No instructions for real-world crimes, no child-abuse material, no terrorism, no apologia for real violence.
- Extreme gratuitous violence. Torture for shock, complacent gore, snuff. Legitimate narrative violence in service of the story is fine — complacency is not.
- Technical abuse. No systematic AI jailbreaks, no mass scraping, no attacks on the platform.
Between authors and readers
- Writing between humans. If you write in DM with another user, their consent matters. A "stop", a "let's change scenes", a "I'm uncomfortable" ends it — no debate.
- Critique of Entities. You may dislike a published Entity. You may report it if it breaks the charter. You may not harass its creator.
- Reporting. When you see content that crosses the line, report it. We read, we decide, we act.
How we moderate
We aim for fair, not safe-just-in-case. An intense, unsettling or uncomfortable scene is not a problem on its own — content that crosses the hard limits above is.
Combined moderation: automated (filters and dedicated models) and human (team + community reports).
Depending on severity: warning, content removal, feature restriction, suspension, permanent ban. We document our decisions.
