Nature of the service

Alterenn is an 18+ interactive text fiction platform. The service allows adult users to create fictional characters ("Entities") and to write collaborative roleplay stories with a text-generating artificial intelligence.

Alterenn does not produce, film, record, sell, licence or commission any photographic or video depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct involving real performers.

18 U.S.C. § 2257 statement

The record-keeping requirements of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 apply to producers of visual depictions of actual human beings engaged in actual sexually explicit conduct.

The content offered by the Alterenn service consists of written fiction and artificial-intelligence generated text involving fictional characters. It does not contain visual depictions of actual sexually explicit conduct by real performers. On that basis, Alterenn considers that the content it provides falls outside the scope of the record-keeping obligations of 18 U.S.C. § 2257, and Alterenn therefore holds no § 2257 identification records for real performers.

This statement describes the nature of the service and is not a legal opinion. Alterenn will review and amend this statement at the request of its payment partners or competent authorities.

User-submitted images

Alterenn does not host direct image uploads. Where an image is displayed (profile, Entity, incarnation, world), it is supplied by the user as an external link and remains hosted by a third party.

All such images pass through automated moderation before public exposure. The following are refused:

• explicit nudity, visible genitalia, bare breasts, sexual acts;
• any content involving or suggesting a minor;
• photographs of real, identifiable persons, including celebrities, public figures and private individuals.

Images that fail moderation cannot be saved and are not published. Content already public may be re-examined and withdrawn at any time.

Age of users and characters

Access to the service is reserved to adults aged 18 or over. Mature content additionally requires age verification. All fictional characters used in adult contexts must be adults. Any sexual content involving a minor, real or fictional, is strictly prohibited and permanently removed.
